UK Passenger Transport Skills Survey

Research description
LMS undertook a national passenger transport Skills Study on behalf of GoSkills, involving:

• Telephone interviews with a representative sample of 1,000 operators employing five or more people in the passenger transport sector, but particularly in the bus and coach and aviation industries. The survey sample provided sufficient interviews for a robust analysis in each UK region and nation and for each industry on a UK-wide basis.

• A further telephone survey of at least 1,000 micro businesses and sole traders

LMS provided frequency tabulations for all survey questions in relation to the industry footprint and the UK as a whole. In addition, LMS also undertook bespoke analysis relating to employers' training activity in respect to qualification title, type, level, mode of delivery, provider, location and quality rating.
