Research description
 The purpose of this research was to determine the key issues facing companies in the passenger transport sector in Wales. The issues were identified through 22 face to face interviews undertaken with passenger transport sector providers within the following sub-sectors:

• Taxis and private hire

• Bus and coach passenger transport

• Community Transport

• Driving Instruction

The main issues raised through the interview programme were reported under each of the main sub-sectors that were the subject of the research and under the following heads:

• Future factors likely to impact on the business

. Recruitment and Retention

. Skill gaps/needs

. Training commitment

• Training barriers

• Providers used/known

• Emerging issues
