in Skills LMS have wide ranging experience in assessing both the demand for skills and skill supply issues. This includes:
• Identification of employer skill needs, barriers to training and good practice in relation to employer led training
• A particular capability in the analysis of different FE and HE data sets. In relation to Individual Learner Records (ILR) this includes detailed analysis of provision for whole sub regions to support strategic reviews, but also analysis for individual colleges to help inform college management and planning activities. Research undertaken by LMS also includes analysis of graduate destination patterns at both a sub regional and regional level.
LMS also have specific experience in undertaking
overall assessments in relation to particular types of provision
that utilise a mixture of both qualitative and quantitative research
